- 1. Copyright Policy
- Copyright law is complex. The right to produce a painting from a photograph or digital image is usually, though not always, the right of the photographer. If you have questions, you should consult an attorney. Glimmerglass Art is not responsible for assuring that the customer owns the copyright to produce a painting from any or all images received from the customer. The customer retains all responsibility and liability relating to copyrights for photos and images submitted to Glimmerglass Art.
- 2. Protection of Your Copyrights
- Most of our artists are in Asia. When using our service, the customer accepts that, as a practical matter, United States copyright laws are usually not enforceable outside the USA. Customers can expect Glimmerglass Art to act in good faith to protect customers’ copyrights, but Glimmerglass Art is not responsible for any misuse or misappropriation of copyrights that Glimmerglass Art cannot control.
- 3. Delivery Time
- Glimmerglass Art usually completes and delivers customer orders within four to six weeks. Glimmerglass Art does not guarantee delivery dates because factors outside of our control may delay final shipment.
- 4. Payment Terms
- Payment in full is due at the time the order is placed. Glimmerglass Art processes transactions through PayPal, which accepts major credit cards or a PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase. If you do not have a PayPal account, simply click on the button that indicates you want to use a credit card, and enter your credit card information. Your secure credit card information is processed by PayPal, Inc. Glimmerglass Art does not have access to this information.
- 5. Cancellation Policy
- Orders may be cancelled for any reason. If a customer cancels an order before shipment, the order amount, less a 10% cancellation fee, will be refunded. After shipment, a customer may cancel or return an order for any reason, and the order amount, less shipping charges and less a 10% cancellation fee, will be refunded. Gift Certificate purchases are final and will not be refunded. All refunds will be issued in the same manner (credit card, PayPal, check, money order, etc.) as payment was received.
- 6. Return Policy
- Your satisfaction is important to us! Paintings may be returned for any reason within 15 days of receipt. The amount refunded to the customer will be the full payment amount less shipping charges and less the 10% cancellation fee. Gift Certificate purchases are final and will not be refunded. All refunds will be issued in the same manner (credit card, PayPal, check, money order, etc.) as payment was received.
- 7. Gift Certificates
- Gift Certificates are non-refundable and may be redeemed only for purchases from Glimmerglass Art. Gift Certificates expire 24 months from the date purchased.
- 8. Right to Refuse Order
- Glimmerglass Art reserves the right to refuse any customer order. If an order is refused and payment has already been made, the payment will be refunded immediately and in full.
- 9. Shipping
- Glimmerglass Art standard pricing includes shipment worldwide. Watercolor paintings will be rolled and shipped in tubes. Oil paintings for shipment within the 48 continental United States will be stretched before shipping; oil paintings for shipment anywhere outside those 48 states will be rolled and shipped in tubes.
- 10. Damages
- Glimmerglass Art guarantees all products to be shipped in good condition. If you receive your order in damaged condition, inform us immediately! We will ask you to provide us with pictures and documentation of the damage. At our discretion, we will ask you to return the painting to us for repair or replacement, or we will place an insurance claim with the shipping company for your refund.
- 11. Warranty
- Glimmerglass Art does not offer a warranty on paintings.
- 12. Customer Privacy
- Glimmerglass Art does not rent, sell or share personal information about you with any third party.
- 13. Mailing List
- When you join our mailing list, we use your information to alert you to sales promotions, product information or other news which we believe may be of interest or concern to you. We will not rent, sell or share our mailing lists with any third party.
- 14. Promotional Codes
- Only one promotional code may be used with any order.
